Illinois writer/voter Bob Asmussen gave us our lowest AP ranking this week of 17. My brother in law wrote him a respectful email asking about that and explaining why our resume is better than that of several teams he has ranked above us. He responded with the following:

“Thanks for writing. You make a lot of very good points. I plan to move BYU
up several spots this week if it wins Saturday against UCF.

Great thing about the poll is voters can make changes all season. I made an adjustment with Indiana this week and expect to do the same thing with BYU.

No bias from here toward the Cougars. My one visit to Provo was for hockey during the 2002 Olympics and I loved it.
