Few had completely believed in his skills, questioning his ability to avoid turnovers, his decision making, his accuracy. Those who doubted were soon silenced. With 1:19 seconds left on that epic night, he starts and finishes a comeback drive that is as great as any comeback drive done by any of the former BYU QB greats themselves. He assumes complete responsibility of the BYU offense and HE LEADS AND WILLS BYU to a stunning victory. With this most dramatic of moments, he begins his own legendary story. After the game, he takes little credit - instead giving credit to his coaches and teammates. When asked about the final astonishing drive his response is - "It was meant to be", "It was pure joy", "I trusted in my abilities", "It was unbelievable", and finally with eloquence, he asks, "How can you not be romantic about this game?"
