He and his kids sat behind me at the game yesterday. My wife (who was sitting by my side) doesn't care much about football so I was chatting with him most of the time. He works with one of my cousins and she gave her tickets to them.
First off, his kids are absolutely adorable. His little son, maybe 7 or 8 years old, was better entertainment than the entire rest of the night. He was cracking us up. His commentary on Retzlaff and his analysis were spot on the whole time.
I asked his son if his dad ever tells him stories about when he played. He replied that he didn't. So I told him about how good his dad was, and how I used to come with my dad to the games to watch him play. He loved hearing that.
Brian lives in Lehi with his fam. I was asking him if he ever had a shot in the NFL. He said, (as far as I remember) "I blew out my ACL in my 4th game of my Sr. year. But that ended up being the best thing that could happen to me. If that had not happened, I would not have been baptized, and my life would be totally different."
What a great guy. When Lassiter scored that last TD, we hugged and celebrated like long lost brothers. It was a pleasure getting to know him a bit last night. He's a huge asset to the Cougar family.
Horrible pic but it’s all I got.
