Maybe I’m crazy, and like Michael Scott; “I’m not superstitious but I’m a little-stitious” and even debating the wisdom of posting this idea, but this season feels special. We were picked to finish in the bottom 3 of the BIG12, started the season unranked, missed a bowl game last season by a nail bitter in double OT against a team we beat last night, we didn’t pick anyone of note up in the portal, and we all thought we had no QB(not stellar anyway). Now we’re 7-0 baby. I’m having family and friends come out of the woodwork texting me about games, watching BYU late at night, we have a kicker again, defense is solid (minus against the option last night), etc, etc. I don’t want to curse us, and I know we probably aren’t as balanced a team as our win record says, but there’s also a lot of mystique with this season. There’s a lot of reason to be very optimistic. It’s exactly 40 years since our national championship, 100th season, on the verge of 3 “sacred weekends” (what I call a weekend where BYU wins their game and Yewtah loses (Go TCU)). Something is in the air Cougar Nation! The hype is real it’s palpable and I’m here for the ride baby!!!
