Lassiter said the play was for Phillips, and when he saw the ball hang up there he went and got it. It's possible Jake saw Lassiter and tossed the ball to where he could catch it in stride and possibly get into the end zone, but I can't help but think Lassiter just happened to be in the right place at the right time and made the best of it. I think Jake threw up a prayer and it was answered.
