6-0 P4 Indiana is ranked 16 in the nation with no really standout players and a mid amount of viewers per game, 5-1 Group of 5 Boise State who's beaten nobody but has a Heisman candidate running back so obviously that attracts more viewers, not to mention they are ahead of K State, Pitt, and Missouri who would probably all beat them. Kinda head scratching. ALL G-5 teams before didn't get this much respect before but now when one of them has a Heisman Candidate they somehow get respect on a team level. AP poll is just for media views and are too scared to say so or they will be fired.
And don't listen to them when they tell you there ranked high because "they barely lost to Oregon". Since when have they ever used close losses to determine that a team is good.


Not saying that Boise doesnt deserve this respect; I'm just showing that these AP polls are very media viewership oriented and not actually being consistent or picking the best teams solely on statistics, it always has to be the brand.
