Gustav Intervention Needed
Random usage thoughts
Yesterday I heard two different people say "cheese and crackers!" in totally unrelated incidents. One was in a show written by British people; the other was a real-life midwesterner. Can't remember the last time I heard anyone use that expression.

And "eke out" seems to be having a weird moment, especially among sports fans, and some are using it weirdly.

You can "eke out" a win, but Team A doesn't "eke out" Team B.

Maybe this is some kind of Baader-Meinhof thing I have going on.
