We pay him less so we can pay elite assistants more. He is an incredible ambassador for the university. He makes BYU football warm, fun, and hype. The players love him. Fans love him when we win. We just NEED the room in the budget to keep top-tier assistants.

And I almost forgot, but the best part about Kalani is that he is a BYU guy through and through. Love his passion for the Cougs, don't know if we'll get lucky enough to find someone with that kind of love for decades.
