doesn't have anything to do with the play on the field necessarily that changed my mind but the attention to detail of Lanning. It seems pretty clear that they had practiced a situation where they would intentionally bring a 12th man on to the field to prevent a big play knowing that time would run off the clock. They gladly traded 5 yards for the time that went off the clock. That kind of attention to detail is impressive and something a lot of coaches would not know or focus on. Anyway, Lanning may be one to get them over the hump. I hope he doesn't, but I can see it now when I couldn't before.
