Information on the Blue/White
baseball scrimmage
.
First a couple of side notes. Sat behind Jones family. Very nice family
His father looks like he could still hit HR's for ASU.
Found out a CBer is responsible for the great field they play on.

Looked like teams were divided up pretty evenly. Final 5-3. 9 innings.

Fielding. No errors

Hitting. Blue team had only 5 hits, 3 runs. 1st inning. 2 walks and grandson doubled 2 runs in. I won't ever mention when he K's 4 times.
Goff had 3 of the 5 hits. Pretty sure Hollingshaus had the 5th.
White team. Didn't follow as closely.
The Freshman catcher from St. George I know had 2 hits. Ryder had one. I don’t remember the others.
First time hitting under the lights could have affected the hitting.

Pitching. A couple of transfers, 1 from Utah and 1 from SLCC looked good. Gubler had a rough 1st inning, but good after that. Dahle was good. Throws 96 plus and had control. Stone had a tough nite. Gave up 3 or 4
of the 5 runs.

Based on what I have heard and saw, this will be a better team than last year. I think they make the conference playoffs.

They play Saturday against AF.

I am aware few care right now.
