We know BYU has struggles when traveling to the east coast. There has been debate on why. Whether it is flight time, time zone difference messing with the head, weather or something else, it is real.
And I think the ACC and B10 are already starting to see this. A terrible CL team almost beat Miami in LA. USC lost both of its travel games. OSU lost to Oregon. Oregon has 3 travel games left. Michigan is the only good team of the 3, but will be interesting to see how that plays out.
I do think the west coast teams are going to get the brunt of the impact. They will have 2-3 long travel games every year, while the other schools will usually only have 1.
I think the impact is real and is why I will always be worried about games at UCF, WV and Cinn.
