My takeaways from PFF Review of BYU vs Arizona (incl top 5 PFF rated players)
Link to the full YouTube clip is at the bottom and a screenshot of the top 5 PFF players is at the bottom too.
A few interesting tidbits:
1. BYU held Fifita to his lowest PFF rating of his career.
2. BYUs team passing defense PFF score was a season high vs FBS this year. Passing defense is just getting better and better.
3. BYU is not a team being carried by a couple star players. Our top 5 PFF players seems to change every week.. different guys show out each week. As my own personal aside: I'd say that Chase Roberts and Jakob Robinson seem to be consistently in that top 5.
4. Offensive Line was dominant this game with 1.8 yards before contact in the run game which is very good. They had very high pass protection scores as usual too.
5. A lot of BYU fans seem to believe our defense is dragging this team to success. While I do believe defense is our strongest unit, the PFF guys have been raving about how well balanced the entire team is. It's not a "defense is dragging this team along" situation according to them.
