In the offseason I actually felt like the Cougs would be better and win at least 7 if not 8-9 games. What I really feared was that Utah had a pretty easy schedule. I thought Cam would be 100% and they had a good shot to go undefeated in conference. As much as I expected the Cougs to get to a bowl, I was dreading the constant drumbeat of Ute fans trolling us and conference foes.

Present day, it is surreal to feel like my Cougs might actually go undefeated in conference and see the little Utes limping along. I think they lose at least two, if not three more conf games. What has been interesting is watching the Utes this year, they have lost all their swagger. I don't see any of it this year. These last few games, both their O and their D seem very flat and uninspired.

Man it is fun to be in a real conference again. So many key games left to be played in these coming 7 weeks. So much can happen but I LOVE this Coug team. Feels so different than so many years. I believe our D gives us the edge in every game left on the schedule. We will definitely be in every game. Will we win every one??? I hope so but that is a tall task. Every great team can be beaten on a given day but our D gives me the optimism to think we will win all, or all but one of our remaining games. Playing in Dallas on Dec. 7th would be freaking amazing!
