- the Offense made mistakes, but they consistently moved the ball. BYU has scored 30+ points in 5 of their 6 games this year.
- The offensive line played a really, really good game. Retzlaff was rarely pressured and our rushing game averaged 5.4 ypc.
- Lassiter needs to do drill after drill catching the ball. He'd be projected as a 3rd - 5th round draft pick if he didn't have so many drops.
- Our run defense is so good, we take it for granted.
Jay Hill's defensive adjustments are amazing game to game
- Arod is good for a TD trick play every 1.5 games. And it feels like we have never had a trick play go horribly wrong.
- So far the defensive philosophy feels like the ultimate bend, don't break, defense. If a offense scores on us, it always takes 9+ plays. But the defense causes so many turnovers that many of those multi play drives are cut short. And turnovers are such a huge momentum shift.
- Our TEs are still under-utilized. Gilbride and Arod hopefully tweak the offense to let that position shine some more.
