Michigan sign-stealing scandal broke last year and there were rumors from other Pac12 schools (like USC) making some soft comments about Utah sign stealing.
I remember a national broadcast making a big deal about Scalley calling the defensive play right up to the snap of the ball and quoted him saying something like he would rather have his players in the right places scrambling late than just in the wrong places. That type of comment has all the makings of sign stealing being part of why they were so great on defense year after year.
Anyways, I am curious how effective they’ve been on defense ever since that story broke and perhaps they had to dial back the sign stealing as well.
