Toward the end of the game, Oregon had 12 men on the field, and got a successful defensive stop that took 4 second off the clock. They called a 5 yard penalty but that didn’t reset the 4 seconds
With only 10 seconds left, 4 seconds is certainly worth 5 yards.
So what’s to stop a defense from putting 20 men on the field to prevent the offense from doing anything, burning clock, and just taking 5 yard penalties.
