greatbam 1% better everyday
Just finished watching Arizona @ Utah and Texas Tech @ Arizona games
Things I noticed..

Whitt's pride doomed Utah to a loss early. Utah should've kicked the FG on their first and second drives of the 1st half.

Whittingham was asked about the first drive and he said "..it was absolutely the right call. I don't believe we kick a FG there." AZ stuffed them on 4th and 2 on the Utes first drive. On their 2nd drive the Utes made it to the 2 yard line and it's 4th and goal and they get stuff again. Finally on the Utes 3rd drive to the RZ they kick a field goal.

That's 6 missed points. Utah could've gone into the half AZ 10 Utah 9. Also based upon how the game went in the second half AZ and UT would've been tied 16 - 16 at around the 12 min mark of the 4th.

Ute D didn't seem to pressure AZ QB Fifita too much. Fifita is a pretty solid QB. He made some pretty impressive throws during the Utes game not as much during the Texas Tech game. Most of the time his main target is WR McMillan.

Arizona D got plenty of pressure on Wilson but I'm pretty sure because he's a rookie he held onto the ball too long. Have to imagine that Retzlaff will get rid of the ball more quickly.

AZ run game ( Conley ) is pretty decent but I think BYU's D will be able to handle him ok. Texas Tech D was much more physical than the Utes. They were able to pressure Fifita a lot more than the Utes. I think BYU's D will be the same. BYU's D will need to be amped up and ready to hit someone like Texas Tech's D was.

RES gets no where near as loud a LES. Arizona never seemed rattled by the crowd at Utah at all.

Also.. Isaac Wilson looks so much like ZW with his helmet on. I feel like I'm looking at ZW in a Utes uniform.

BYU 24
AZ 17
