Aren't Flu shots geared more for the elderly? The only other reason I could think to get a Flu shot is because you want some protection from getting it at some later date.

Like IDK for example maybe you're worried about catching the Flu while on election day when you're trying to vote. So you get a Flu shot now ( protection supposedly takes 2 weeks to kick in ) so you'll be protected in some future scenario where you don't want to get sick.
