About 45 years ago, Mom dragged Dad to Abbey Road during a trip to London to
fulfill my request that she get Beatles tour pictures for me.  Dad once told me that if the Beatles came to our house they wouldn’t be allowed in “unless they get their haircut.”  (Haha.)  That made me so sad. I was sure we were in their Oregon travel plans. Dad didn’t even like me having their albums because of their hair and “wild monkey music.”  (He described Beatles' music as "a bunch of monkeys beating on instruments tossed to them in a cage.")  I had magazine pics of the Beatles covering my bedroom wall.  It was a very sad day when Dad made me take them down (booooo!  haha).

I found these pics recently while going through some of my deceased parents' things.  They remind me of a mother’s love.  Mom got Dad to Abbey Road even though the Beatles still hadn’t cut their hair.

Mom became a Beatles groupie for me just a moment on my behalf

Abbey Road Studios is the white building on the left.  Mom said the traffic was too busy to safely cross, but she gave it a great effort.
