I'm the general counsel of a small software company. We've had a rough 18 months, with multiple rounds of layoffs. Our PE owners brought in a new CEO recently, and he's instituting another RIF. He's also decided to roll the dice and go without in-house legal counsel, so my position will be gone next month. We'll see how that goes for him, but I'm now on the market.

I'll get a modest amount of severance and a small consulting agreement to provide the company transition and triage services for a while, but I'm actively looking. I'm in Utah now, but I have lived all over the US. I'm open to domestic or especially international relocation, though I have a senior in HS, so I'd have to figure out the transition period if we move. I'm a jack-of-all trades, with deep commercial experience, particularly in energy and tech.

If any of you have any leads on in-house legal jobs, I'd be happy to receive them. I'd be doubly happy if the lead was for an international position, as that's something I've always wanted to do but haven't yet had things work out.
