to get an edge with the Dodgers. I don't mean the fan throwing the ball at Profar. I mean the constant chirping. I think the Pads were trying to get under the skin of the Dodger players and the fans. And it worked. They milked the whole "fan throwing the ball at Profar" for a good 15-20 minutes. I thought Profar was going to ask for his blankie when he came in for the group hug. You could tell the Dodger players were amused, but SD used that incident to fire themselves up.
Roberts said before the start of the series that the Dodgers needed to raise their intensity. But the Padres beat them to it. It'll be interesting what happens in the next two games. Will SD sweep at home or will LA get at least a split? We haven't seen the last of the gamesmanship between these teams.
