interception on 4th down. I woke up to Al screaming in the middle of the winning TD catch.
So let me get this straight about what happened.
Atlanta had 4th down at their own 20 yard line and with 1 minute, 44 seconds left they failed to convert. Just so we're clear, they failed to convert from their own 20 with under 2 minutes to go.
30 seconds later it's 1st down Atlanta at their own 20 yard line. Tampa didn't fumble, didn't throw a pick, didn't have any major screw up like that. No major screw ups, just a bunch of dumb little ones.
And why are punters still so bad at their craft? FG kickers have upped their game to the point that anything under 60 yards in the NFL now looks routine. That's insanity, btw. But punters? C'mon, man. You're telling me that you've got nothing else in the world to do 24/7/365 except practice and hone your craft, and you're still booting it through the end zone when you're on the opponent's side of the field?
Just so bad by Tampa last night. A bunch of small dumb mistakes added up to giving Atlanta the ball back exactly where they'd had it just 30 seconds before.
