Full gut bathroom remodel, 180 sq ft., what would you expect to pay?
Custom vanity, basic soaker tub, half wall shower with glass door.
This a primary bath built in 1985 that is…gross aesthetically and literally, thus the gut
Have gotten quotes from $45-65k.

I would keep the gross bathroom for that kind of money

Just shampoo the carpet and wipe down the wallpaper.

I did my whole basement for less than that.

300 sq ft is a big bathroom. For nice finishes, $45-50k makes sense to me.

About that… unfortunately

300 Sq ft? That's gigantic.

Yea, whoops, 180 sq ft. I had the dimensions wrong in my head.

Then your quotes are insane to me. Not a chance I would pay that much.

I’m currently ripping out our shower after a leak and I can see why they charge

Seems reasonable. Bathrooms are higher on spectrum for per sq ft cost to build

I'd say probably the low end, maybe $40k

I just redid mine, worked out a trade so we didn't have to come out of pocket, but the original quote was about 25k, but

I'd do it myself, save a crap ton of money, learn a bunch in the process.

Ditto. If you are not moving any of the rough plumbing, it’s really not hard.
