2FarGone No One of Consequence
It’s time to move on from the historic CB pessimism.
We’re 5-0 and sit atop of a P4 conference’s rankings.

Every game in front of us is winnable. I still think our greatest challenge is on the road against UCF, with Utah being a very close second.

We very possibly already beat the best team we will face this year in Kansas State.

Our quarterback is becoming like the BYU QBs of old and making plays downfield while ensuring we score when in scoring position.

Our defense is as dominant or more than we had hoped.

Our team takes advantages of opportunities when they come. They also create some of their own.

Our running game has been anemic at times, but with our top 2 RBs returning and our QB still remaining a running threat, we should be able to take pressure of the passing game some more and help it to become even more effective.

Our center went down with injury and looks to be out a while, but the bye is coming at just the right time to get the new guy up to speed.

Our team looks much more gelled together than in years past.

I have been critical of coaching in years past, but I do not see any large things to criticize. There might be questions as to “Why run up the middle there?” Or “why call a time out there?” But there is evidence all over that the level of good coaching has been increased, or I have simply been wrong in the past.

There is a lot to be optimistic about, no matter how the rest of the season turns out.
