Hear me out. He takes reps and warms up. Coaches note his velocity isn't 100% and they've been able to ride baby Wilson. I get that. Everyone thought Arizona was going to roll over and die anyway. RUTS was the plan. But obviously Cam can go--KALL 700 even is reporting that he is medically cleared.

But at somepoint in the 3rd quarter, why isn't Cam standing next to Whitt with his helmet saying "coach, I'm going in on this next series." The guy has enough pull in this football program to be heard. I guarantee it.

We've seen the other end of the spectrum where Riley Nelson is hiding a broken back from his coaches, but we are talking about a finger and a critical moment in a game. I guarantee a guy like Nelson--or Retzlaff--would be pestering their coach to get in the game. I bet the Pig Farmer from last year would try to get back in if he could. Meanwhile, Cam is cool, yucking it up on the sidelines.

I just don't understand this situation at all. So much weird stuff is going on, from Cam's attitude, to all the misinformation that has occurred for months and months, to the reasons given each time he doesn't take the field.
