Help me do the math here on owning a house. Topic of discussion so use me as a
Case study.
I am 25 and about to graduate from one of the more lucrative majors at BYU with a masters degree.
Our median pay is about 90,000
After taxes you are taking home 66,000
That’s 5,500 a month.
However I will pay about 500/month for the next two years because of a student loan
So really 5,000 a month.
Can I afford a home? If not, how far after graduation would it be?
