There are a lot of posters on here that are employed by banks and Credit Unions. Credit Unions are non profit but have to make profit to keep running.
I mentioned even small schools should get at least Venmo for concessions if not card reader and maybe Apple Pay. There is no cash back with Apple Pay.
Someone said stop by atm and give money to the kids don’t let banks make the profit.
Of course there is a fee with card readers and maybe Venmo. But schools can pass the cost on. In the long run would even with the fees, would schools make more money with a card reader or Venmo.
Because if you don’t have enough cash in your pocket you can’t buy anything. And even withdrawing at your own banks atm costs the bank.
So even with extra costs at rural districts card readers bring in more money. And more convenient.
