Whoever invented the double window drive-through design was a genius and had a tremendous impact on the development of our country.
But when I drive through one that’s not busy enough or for whatever other reason they have the first window closed with, like, a sad mop leaning against the window or boxes of napkins and straws piled up, I can’t help but think how the inventor (Ronald?) would feel to see this design that has brought joy and convenience and shorter lines to so many fall into disuse and neglect — like so many digital calculator watches.
Sigh.
