BYU as a potential "basketball school" - what changed?
1. Why are donors only now stepping up with bigtime money? Was Pope the issue?

2. KY has NBA bona fides, but he hasn't won a single college game. Does his hire explain what changed, or is there more to it?

3. The fact that we are even in the convo, and might be the frontrunner for a non-LDS generational talent, is completely mind blowing.

4. Other thoughts on how this massive change happened? Could it have happened under Pope, if he had stayed, especially after the unexpectedly solid season we had last year. We were definitely viewed as a program on the rise before Pope left.

A lot of pressure on KY to produce this year. Gotta win now. It's one thing to tell recruits that you'll put them in the NBA, and you can do that without being an elite program. But players want to win Championships, even if they are only there for a year.
