When I lived there in Denver area I rarely saw CU stickers or swag, people only seemed to care about the Denver Broncos. This primetime effect is real, everyone is tuning in and people are excited to see what happens. I checked the scores, but only watched them occasionally before. Now I watch them every week and they are bringing in a ton of viewers for their games, like they did last year, for at least the first half of the season. We will see if it keeps up. If CU can be good under Deion, it may be a really good thing for the conference, to have a team that can command a viewership of 6M+ in its bigger games.
CU this year
4.8M vs NDSU
3.3M vs CSU
5.7M vs Nebraska
3.7M vs Baylor
Pretty far cry from what other teams in the conference have commanded, even though a couple of the opposing teams aren't very big time. Yes, they are on big time stations in primetime, but they are delivering. Interested to see how the year trends for CU
