My child got in a car accident, and our car was totaled. We have dash cam footage from our car that proves the other party was completely negligent, and the other insurance has assumed all the liability. The car is currently in the tow truck salvage yard, my question is when should I release the car to the other insurance company? Do I do this after I received and agreed to their settlement? Or do I do this before we receive an acceptable settlement?
