Babe Ruth was a very good pitcher. Arguably the best pitcher in the league over a 3-year span. It seemed crazy to make him stop pitching, but they did and he went from very good to transformative. More than just a generational talent, still the GOAT. If he focused on pitching, he would barely be remembered these days.
I think that Ohtani is a very good pitcher, but is a generational (and possibly teansformative) talent if allowed to focus on batting while also holding down a non-challenging fielding position. Too bad he's a Dodger.
