Calling to cancel and it's even more infuriating than it was when I did this every year to get a lower monthly rate. I've told the guy 4 times I'm NOT INTERESTED in a lower rate, I just want him to cancel my account I've had for 30 years. He asked me why. I told him the many reasons why.
"well, you know... we can get that rate down for you if you'd like to talk to the retention department"
JUST CANCEL ME, NOW.
"I'd be happy to help you with that, in the meantime, we've added some new channels that you may be interested in..."
GAH.
