Let me preface this by saying I'm still relatively new to the youth sports culture in Utah. My understanding was that either you pay $50 to play Jr Jazz in a completely non competitive environment or you pay $2k+ for your kid to play on a comp team that runs your life for the foreseeable future. So for the last several years I chose to put my son in Jr Jazz where he completely dominates but there is very little structure to allow the kids to learn to play the game the right way (he is currently in 4th grade). Well recently I heard about a league called Bantam that is apparently associated with the schools in some way and may be a happy medium between Jr Jazz & Comp ball, but online there is virtually no information about it and I can't find a way to sign up.
Does anyone here have any insight into how the Bantam league works or how to find a team (we're located in SL County)?
