I did need to use reading glasses for a while for really up close things, especially small instructions etc... When i went to the eye dr I did need them slightly for long distance as well. So progressives were ordered but I still held off wearing them. This summer I had to do a physical for my CDL. In that after doing the eye test it was marked that I had to wear corrective lenses on my license. So I have made the choice to try and wear them all the time. It is amazing how much less eye strain, how much less "tired' my eyes are etc.. Point of this if you suddenly hit 50 need glasses just wear them. It is better.
