A tip that many reps and account executives are too afraid to tell you. The reps who report to you hate meetings. They hate them. Most meetings are wildly unproductive and do very little but allow you a platform to whine, moan, sometimes praise and change things for the umpteenth time. Sales reps get and understand that some meetings are a necessary evil. They get a quick 10-15 min daily check in or pipeline review or a monthly sales meeting. Or a weekly 30 min team sales meeting, but sheesh stop overdoing it. You're being tuned out. I can promise you are.
If you've got 5+ hours of meetings a week on your sales reps calendars that take away from doing their jobs, then you need to rethink your approach and why you're wasting so much of their time when they could actually be doing something productive. Especially for the legit productive reps. Leave them alone and let them do their jobs. For those that aren't productive there's a better way to handle things one on one with them.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
