Look, I know there have been mistakes. Last week the mistakes were no excusable. This week, the mistakes were visible, but not as costly. I'm not discounting those mistakes. If he doesn't learn from them and limit them more, then my support would change.
However, consider this... the timing of this is critical. Switching QBs heading into conference play would be disastrous. I don't think Bohanon's running ability matches Retzlaff's. Without Martin and Ropati, our running game is still developing, but is nowhere ready to face Kansas State and Baylor. With very little running game, Retzlaff's ability to run is a huge key. I don't see us winning those next two games without someone able to run in the QB spot. With the QB running we have a better shot.
I'm not saying that's the best situation long term. However, the next two games are winnable.
I could point out that I kept thinking "quit throwing that deep ball to the left. That guy isn't open and you're not throwing it far enough anyway". I'm not giving him a free pass. I'm saying he gives us the best chance the next two games given that we don't know what we will get from RB position.
