Turnovers: Retzlaff basically averages one (0.8) lost fumble and one (1.0) interception per game. He’s also put the ball on ground 1.6 times per game.
Sure, that’s probably about the same turnovers per game than Ty Detmer averaged his heisman season, but Detmer wasn’t averaging 170 yards per game passing (it was 399).
It’s silly to compare the turnovers of a prolific offense to the turnovers of an anemic offense. But I think MOST people know that.
