That is the reality moving forward. Its the most important position in the sport and the only way to ensure a good one is by dropping huge cash. Otherwise you'll need to be extremely lucky. Until BYU can do that, there won't be much of a chance for a future playoff at 12 teams or even 16 if it expands more.
