Hillstead will take over some time in November. I wouldn’t bench Retzlaff yet, but I’d have him on a very short leash. BYU isn’t 2-0 because of great play from JR, but if you have a spring/fall QB competition and the winner is 2-0 as a starter, I don’t think you make the move yet. If BYU goes down 10-0 at halftime to Wyoming (or whatever the equivalent is in future games) you make the switch.
