Houston really blew it last night v. Oklahoma. Ball on their own 5, about 1:46

left in the game, down two points, they inexplicably hand the ball off from the shotgun and forget to block.  RB gets tackled at the goal line.  Close call, but they give Oklahoma the safety.

First, if you're going to run the ball in that situation, why do it from five yards behind the LOS?  Second, it's not like Houston had been moving the ball on the ground at all (58 yards total).  Lastly, time was not on their side and they had to move the ball down the field.  Running from the shotgun had very little chance of success.

However, when that occurred, the first thing I thought was: "That's the kind of play ARod would call in that situation."  It was a sad ending to a good game where I was at least hoping to see Houston get a shot at a final FG try.
