I sometimes forget that BYU has 3 QBs that received D1 offers out of high school, that already have starting experience at the FBS level.

1. Gerry Bohanan — we all know about him - starter at Baylor and UCF — injuries.

2. Treyson Bourguet — played 2 years at Western Michigan, where he had a Redshirt first year, and started part of his second year.

3. McCae Hillstead — started half of last season for Utah State.


There are also freshman QBs on the roster.


The 3 guys listed above were all more recruited out of high school than Jake Retzlaff.

Jake looked good against SIU, but man, his fumbles and interceptions almost singlehandledly lost the game for BYU against SMU.
