There was so much to learn that game. SMU was pretty determined to stop the run. So I don't fault our RBs. Our offensive line did pretty good also IMO.
It felt like SMU dared us to throw the ball downfield. And we really didn't. We had one drive where we came out slinging it, and we were having success. SMU dialed up the pressure and Retzlaff threw a bad pick. But there were receivers open downfield on that pick.
Arod is a good offensive coordinator. But sometimes he is too cute/clever. But he can turn around and call a masterclass of a game the following week.
