1. OUR DEFENSE! Coach Lashlee commented that we were giving totally different looks from all the film. The guys knew their assignments, were bringing pressure all night (I don't recall the last time we had 8 tackles for loss!) and when we needed them the most, SMU didn't even get a a first down.
2. Crucial 4th down conversions. On the touchdown run, there's no way I would have thought a run up the middle was a good idea. For all the hate on A-Rod, that play call seemed to be perfect. Then the 4th down at midfield with around 2 minutes left. Incredible. Kalani and Dan Campbell seem to share a lot of the same passion that fans have and aren't afraid of rolling the dice and showing their faith in their team. 4th down conversions are pretty deflating for defenses and we are pumping them out right now.
