BYU has made mistakes naming a starter QB before
Giff Nielsen came off the bench when the named starter couldn’t get it done.
Covey took a seat when young Detmer turned out to be the better option.
St. LaVell knew when to bench a non productive guy, even when that player grew up in his ward.
Take a look at this set of clips. There is no reason not to be humble Arod, admit you missed this personnel decision and give Gerry his shot.
