SMU was averaging 54 points a game in their 9 game home win streak - tonight they only got 15 and zero on touchdowns.
They had also scored 5 TDs on their 5 trips to the red zone in their first 2 games this season - tonight they got zero TDs on red zone visits - even starting inside the 10 after a turnover
Sure JR was terrible but that was a defensive gem we witnessed tonight. A swarming, attacking defense that dominated SMU from start to finish. If the defense can keep that intensity through the rest of the schedule, they could keep us in every game.
The glass is more than half full!
