My oldest returned from his mission in April and worked his butt off over the summer to get back into shape. And as a testament to his work ethic, he entered camp stronger and faster than he was when he finished his freshman season a few years back. But, it's been a whirlwind fall camp. He's played QB most of his tackle football career, and this was his focus all summer long. But, coaches saw more in him and asked him to move to another position to help the team - OLB/Safety. He's a fan of contact and has showed out well during fall camp, so they gave him the starting nod just this morning for his first game tomorrow.

Add to it that my son in HS (sophomore) is getting starting reps on Varsity for the same position, which was unexpected. He's 155lbs soaking wet, but he's strong and fast, so it helps. He got tossed around a few times in the game last Friday night but held his own most of the time.

Anyway, it's been a fun fall so far!
