Seems like we have upgraded the basketball roster at almost every position
PG- We didn't really lose anyone here, and we gained Demin and Crawford, so here there is a clear upgrade.

SG- We lost Jaxson Robinson and Spencer Johnson, which are big losses. We kept Richie Saunders and Baker, which is a big win, and added Demin. It will be hard to replace Robinson and Johnson. Whether we can have an upgrade here will depend on whether Baker is healthy and Demin is as good as advertised. Maybe this is a wash for now, but potentially an upgrade?

Wing/forward- We lost Noah Waterman, which hurts some. We lost Khalifa, which would have seemed like a big loss early in the year, but by the end of the year he wasn't very effective. Losing Marcus Adams doesn't hurt at all. We gain Catchings, Mawot Mag, and Boskovich, and Demin (to the extent he plays wing). I don't see how this is anything but an upgrade. Noah could shoot the three but was not a multidimensional offensive player, and was a weak rebounder for his size. Mag is a huge upgrade over Khalifa and Waterman on defense, and Boskovich is a more complete player than Waterman or Khalifa. Catchings has a high ceiling on both offense and defense.

Center- We lost Atiki and kept Fouss. We gain Keita and Triplett. Again, this looks like an upgrade. Keita is less of a project than Atiki and Triplett provides depth we didn't have last year. It also sounds like Boskovich might be able to play center if needed?

Overall, we have a clear upgrade at every position except shooting guard, but if Baker and Demin both play this year I don't see how we have downgraded. It appears that the key is how well all of these new pieces play together, so I am really relieved that we kept our floor general, Dallin Hall. I am going to go out on a limb and project that this is a Sweet Sixteen caliber team.
