wonder if he would have retired now at age 65 (formerly his age limit for retirement), but he wants to keep coaching at least one more year so he can avenge his loss to BYU. Whittingham is a ferocious competitor and a prideful son of a gun, and I have a hard time seeing him being willing to go out on a loss to BYU. I have no inside information to back this up, but, knowing Whittingham, I wouldn't rule it out.
