I can't figure out if I am just a bad person-
But I don't like Batman, or rather, I dislike his membership in the Justice League and the attempt to make him all that.

I think Batman is a compelling character as a mentally ill billionaire with survivor's guilt who hunts poor people for sport with a catch and release policy. I think the tragedy of watching him turn Gotham slowly into his own personal playground is fun, and I can even pretend he is the good guy and cheer for him.

But I hate how comics try to put him on par with other superheroes, and I think his presence detracts from other, better superheroes- many of 'his' roles would be better filled by the Martian Manhunter (the most criminally underused member of the Justice League IMO) or Green Lantern (who is obnoxious, but what do you expect from a media mogul).

Additionally, it just doesn't make sense to have him in the Justice League. He is a city-level hero, fighting city-level villains. In order to make him seem cooler, they have to seriously underpower and underutilize every other hero, and give rise to stupid arguments about Batman v. Superman (Batman's only real advantage in that fight is that he is psychotic and Superman isn't).

I recognize that he was put in because he's a popular character arising from the history of Zorro, and they wanted his name to sell the comic books. But it is dumb to have him there and he doesn't belong. I said it and I'm glad.
